Quality is not a department at EVERMOND — it is the discipline that every team operates by. Our nine-step quality control process is documented, audited, and applied identically to every container we load, whether bound for a Berlin specialty grocer or a Tokyo hotel chain.
Every partner orchard undergoes a comprehensive annual audit covering agronomy practices, irrigation, pesticide management, harvest readiness, worker welfare, and traceability systems. Only orchards meeting our Tier 1 standards supply EVERMOND.
Hand-harvested at peak ripeness. Each picker is trained in our maturity standards. Fruit is field-sorted to remove damaged dates before transport, then moved to humidity-controlled receiving within 6 hours of harvest.
Optical sorting machines identify color, size and surface defects at 2.4 MT per hour. A second hand-sorting line catches any fruit that does not meet specification — operated by trained QC technicians under controlled lighting.
Multi-stage water washing with food-safe sanitization removes surface dust, residues, and any soiling acquired in transport. All wash water is filtered, treated, and recycled in a closed-loop system.
Calibrated weight and size grading separates fruit into our published commercial grades — Jumbo, Large, Medium, Small. Sample lots from each grade are tested for moisture, brix and pesticide residue.
100% of finished product is screened through calibrated metal detectors (Fe ≥ 1.5 mm, non-Fe ≥ 2.0 mm, SS ≥ 2.5 mm) and X-ray inspection for foreign body detection — exceeding BRC Issue 9 requirements.
Food-grade packaging in temperature-controlled cleanrooms. Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) and vacuum options available. Every package is laser-coded for batch traceability back to harvest week and orchard.
Twelve humidity-controlled cold stores hold finished product at 2–8°C with ±0.5°C precision and 60–65% RH. Storage chambers are monitored 24/7 by IoT temperature sensors with automatic alerts for any deviation.
Pre-shipment inspection by an independent QC team — photo-documented, sample-retained, and signed off before container loading. Lab samples are retained for 18 months for any post-shipment quality investigation.
Our in-house lab handles routine analysis — but every export batch is also independently tested by accredited third-party laboratories.
Independent lab partners include SGS, Bureau Veritas, and Intertek.
Every package we produce carries a batch code that traces back to the harvest week, the orchard block, and the field worker who picked it.
Every batch traceable to a specific orchard block and farmer.
Week and date of harvest captured at receiving.
Unique batch ID linking packaging to production line and time.
Container number and seal recorded; final destination logged.
